Re: Probiotics

I have also used the ABC liquid pro bi on a couple of my last rides...
first time experience with them and they worked great! Consistent As for
gut sounds. I also had occasion to use it on our weanling after we
wormed him... he was off his feed and after we gave him the ABC stuff, he
was eating in 5 minutes visibly feeling much better!! The same with a
mare we have who seemed to be colicking. Vet came out and said she might
have bots collected around her esophagus and every time she looked at
food, that muscle would spasm and she couldn't eat... So we wormed her
again (she had been wormed when we bought her 2 months prior to that....I
find it interesting that she had this problem...we ride our horses so
much, brushing them before and after, they get very few if any bots and
she had hardly been ridden all summer). She had 2 more episodes of the
"gagging" but we gave her a dose of the Pro Bi and both times she was
eating within 5 minutes. I don't why it helped with that and maybe it
would have passed anyway, but I found it quite interesting and will be
having that on hand from now on!
