Not carbo loading--just give a dose of a strong high Glycemic Index
carbohydrate every two hours during the ride. Carbohydrate loading is a 4-5
day prerace preparation. Probably not necessary in endurance horses--although
it seems to benefit human marathoners considerably.

Right now I think Kat may know the most about carbohydrate feeding in
endurance horses. But there are a dozen more list members who've had good
experiences.

I thought this particular war was over, but if not, I'm well armed with even
more recent documentation. Let's have at it.
