<grin> I don't know - all I did was hold them and feed things into
the front end - didn't spend much time looking at their bottoms.
I was, er, speculating...

Is it just personal choice, then, using that sort of, er, crupper,
or butt strap, or whatever it's called.

I believe I heard mention of Scarlett while I holding Roger
Downey's Nelson (? I think that's who it was... am I wrong?
Did he used to ride Scarlett?). Someone came up to him while
we were stuffing Nelson with bran mash and asked Roger about
Scarlett.

She'd obviously left a lasting impression. <g>

Well, after hearing all the compliments about Ruby all day,
it was only as she finished her victory lap that I actually
set eyes on her. She was lovely and moved beautifully, so
I think the BC was well deserved. Sandy was very complimentary
to everyone who'd helped him, saying "he wasn't that clever"
and that it was everyone else who had helped them through.

Ruby getting BC was certainly one of the most popular things
that happened this afternoon.
