Ride & Tie

RAINED OUT? SNOWED OUT?

Well, try something new and different this season. Ride & Tie. Actually,
anyone can do it. I know. See www.rideandtie.org for this year's
schedule.

Or, if you are brave, brave the snow and try the "Donner Party Ride &
Tie." This year's Championship event is really being tailored for
novices (they say we eat the laggers)!

	lag' (lēg)
	v.	lagged, lag·ging, lags
	v. intr.	1. To fail to keep up a pace; straggle.
		2. To proceed or develop with comparative slowness:

It is a fun week from July 4th through race day on July 11th. The course
is only 31 or so miles long and the main camp area is at the Donner
Summit. This year's Easyboot Ride & Tie Championship is being hosted by
a cooperative at the Soda Springs and Donner Summit Ski areas situated
between Sacramento and Reno next to the Tevis trail. For more
information contact Jon Root, jonroot@gv.net.

For wimpy East coast interested persons that won't come out to Donner,
even with horses available, there is the Marriott Ranch, VA ride & tie,
a short but galvanizing 21 miles in Oct. An event that gets better each
year (if that is even possible it is so unique).

It will be a fun time.
