Old horse-- 17 is young.. just take it easy do the LD then a slow 50
sometime later

I was doing 50s with my 20 yr old up to last Nov.. decided to let her
retiere for the 5th time..NO MORE 50's  just NATRC open ---
(if the other horse stays sound)
Carol has been doing LDs on her 24 yr old still going strong and will do
a few this year and some NATRC CTR 2 day 60 mile open rides..
If they are healthy and sound why not..
just go easy and space the rides to get good recoveries
