We went a step farther & taught my last mare the draft horse driving
commands "Gee" and "Haw" to indicate direction while long lining (ground
driving). She acted as though she had tailed all of her life until we
hit a STEEP hill for the first time. She turned her head tolook at me
as though to say, "Get your OWN sorry self up the hill, thank you!"
