Re: Saddle Question



Yep, I've used a crupper.  But, with the way my Saddlebred is built, it's
simply not enough.  I had a Smith-Worthington made for him and we're doing
really well with that.  I still love my OF, but it wasn't the saddle for
this fellow.  I'm just glad I can use the OF on my Arabian because I REALLY
love it!  Incidentally, I also use a crupper with the Arabian and we still
get slide.  In order to keep the saddle just where it would ideally be, the
crupper would have to be drastically tight at all times with no give.
LOL... with my two horses I've got the extreme of both ends... one narrow
horse with nothing to hold the saddle in place and one wide-bodied, high
withered, broad shouldered guy!
