Re: Is this what Y'all think?

I have ridden in a couple of LDs this year. We placed 6th in the first one and
3rd in the second one. My gelding and I deserved it both times! We didn't "go
for broke"... I let my gelding "ride the ride"... he let me know what pace suited
him and had I really LET him go for broke on the second ride (he really hated that
one horse in front of him...we finished 2nd but place 3rd), he still would have
only placed 3rd or even worse... I paid my money, non-member or not. Why
shouldn't the winner be listed? Are the winners of the other rides listed? I'm
not trying to stir the pot here or the fire or whatever but the LDs are how I will
be able to judge myself and my horse's ability to go on to the next level... we
may have to stay with the LD's for awhile and I feel they are an accomplishment,
too. I do agree with the motto "To finish is to win" but it sure feels good when
you finish well. Why shouldn't it?
