New Member Advice

Hi...My name is Dianna and I am very interested in participating in endurance
riding in the future.  I have a 4 yr old Appaloosa gelding.  I know he can't
participate in long rides until he is 5.  In the meantime.......what should I
do to get him ready?? Feed, training, etc...   I would appreciate any input
anyone can give me!!!!  Thank You Very Much !!!!!!!
