Help! Horse with fractured elbow

My 17 year old horse, Gambler, apparently fell in the pasture & has 2 incomplete fractures of his right elbow.  This happened Tuesday evening.  He seems to be doing well & is eating good.  He has figured out that he can sidepass with his hind legs & give a hop with the front to get around in the small pen we have him in. 

 

I would appreciate any suggestions that might help the bones to heal faster.  We were wondering if ultrasound or bio-scan would be of help.  Also need to know which supplements would be the most beneficial & not make him high.  Right now we are keeping a buddy horse in an adjacent pen & he is staying pretty quiet.
