yes -caused by friction  the slidding of the girth and pad.. i had realy
bad problems with neopreme
and it could also be scalding from no air flow and 'rubber' pads   with
out open cell -- cant breath and the back gets a hot steam scald..

had that happen with the ss
and neopreme
