One thing I might add to Tina's post is SERA membershap adds a lot of
camaraderie and friendy competition to the rides. It is a great feeling to
drive 8 hours to a ride and be friends with half the peole there. The SERA
convention was a great success. There were two great speakers - one
covering EPM and the the other the properties and use of such compounds as
Adaquan, Cosequin, etc derived from clinical testing. There were some
great awards passed out and the party afterwards - well. I am not going to
make any claims about the superior quality of endurance riding in the
southeast - but when it comes to endurance partying that is another story!

So for you riders in the southeast - SERA is a great organization and is
well worth your support. A good place to receive an application is to
Email Tina Hicks ( hickst@puzzler.nichols.com and ask. Tina was hoodwinked
- er, I mean graciously voluenteered to take on the duties of the
newsletter and she can provide you with info. Or can email me
(truman.prevatt@netsrq.com) and I'll get the info to you.
