Many horses will naturally square off their back feet when unshod. When
you shoe them and with rounded toes on the back then you change their
breakover in the back which can cause them to "click". This happened to my
horse. A new farrier noticed this and shaped to shoes to the hoof - i.e.
the squared off the toes. The problem went away.
