I'd say forget it and get a real truck. <g> Reason is a half ton pickup no
matter how beefed up with towing packages, transmission coolers etc. just
doesn't have the power to pull anything larger than a small 2 horse trailer
esp. over hills. By the time you ad camping gear, extra hay etc I think
you'd be seriously overloading your Suburban.

We're selling our half ton pickup and just bought a used dually 1 ton for
$6000 already set up for hauling and in pretty good shape. When we had our
mechanic look at our new dually he said that under heavy hauling conditions
the engines will last between 50 and 100K miles. Ours has 63K on a rebuilt
engine and we expect to either replace the engine or rebuild within 3
years.
