[RC] Barefoot in wet climes - Natalie Herman

Ok, I had a few motivators to get me going and finally get my trim blog up. Go here: http://ephcs.blogspot.com/  and you'll be able to get a glimmer into why we have to boot our horses 95% of the time when riding. Desert Feet vs. Humboldt feet. And this is after only one week in each clime. I will update the blog later with what a "native" horse's feet look like that doesn't get a desert reprieve for a week... Yet despite this, we have an almost perfect soundness record in bare and booted riding in competition. So if WE can make it work, imagine how much easier it will be for those of you in more ideal climes/terrains! :)

“Riding a horse is not a gentle hobby, to be picked up and laid down like a game of solitaire. It is a grand passion.
It seizes a person whole and, once it has done so, he will have to accept that his life will be radically changed.”

–Ralph Waldo Emerson.
