Re: [RC] Chair Seat - Truman PrevattIn many Little Leagues it was worn because it was required. BTW it wasn't required in my Little League except for the catcher. I played football in high school and tried out as a walk on in college (defensive back) - I never used a cup - never had a problem. Not many of the other guys did either. As far as I am concerned the cup was invented by a woman who wanted to punish men. Today there are support shorts a.k.a. compression shorts made for male athletics. They don't have the issues of the old fashion "jock strap" of rubbing and chafing. Back in the '90's you see these white shots below the bottom of basketball trunks - that's why basketball trunks got baggy to cover the compression shorts. Not only to they provide "male support" they provide support for the groin muscles and the muscles of the upper legs. I've been riding in compression shorts since a long time ago.
