Re: [RC] EMS photos - Dawn Carrie

Hey Karen,
I thought you quit doing 100s  several years ago and only did 50s these days!  Guess we'll run into you at 20MT then...my husband and I are coming out from Texas to do the 100.  It will be Ross's first 100 (first one for his horse too).  We're looking forward to it, and to seeing new trails.  :)  The 100s are my absolute favorite distance...can't wait!

Hi Ranelle - I rode with Shelly and Patty on the 55 mile middle day at the ride.  I have a lot of photos of them!!!  I haven't gotten around to posting them yet but will soon.  She did great on the ride and we had such a fun time that day.  Patty and I used to ride together years ago and are having a blast now too -- I'm trying to talk her into riding the 100 with me at 20 Mule Team.  :)

Shelly is also going great for Patty without nailed on shoes - we were being called the Renegade Girls that day because both of us were riding horse with the regular strap on Renegade boots.  They are working great both for of our horses (Patty's Shelly and my Bo).  Shelly has never had a shoe nailed on her foot ever!  Oh, and also - you'll like this - another horse I rode with at Mojave to mark trail with is Shelly's full sister.  I've got photos of him up in my blog from the pre-ride stuff.  http://enduranceridestuff.com/blog/2009/02/riding-snow/ Wizard is the top right (on the ridgeline) and the bottom one with Nannette standing in front as we are heading down Blue Buzzard pass.

Here is one of Steve's photos of Shelly: http://stevesphoto.smugmug.com/gallery/7347260_9z9k9#476060388_2Nm9S

Great job on the photos, Steph!  I will get to mine shortly.  I have a lot from the first day where we had the vetcheck in the snow - it was great being in the snow on such a sunny beautiful day.
