[RC] Mr. Wizard - Bruce Weary DC

Some of you may remember the kid's science show "Mr. Wizard." I remember him doing an experiment that proved that fresh water not only boils but evaporates faster than salt water. Another reason, perhaps, to only sponge or scoop from a bucket of fresh water (rather than sweaty water) to maximize evaporative cooling. You can add some isopropyl alcohol to enhance the effect of evaporation, but be sure the horse doesn't have any nicks or cuts that it might sting.
As an experiment for Mr. Wizard, I wonder if wetting the horse with salty water just before leaving the vet check to extend the cooling time when out on the trail would have an effect..................? I miss that show. Thank God the Flintstones are still in syndication. Dr Q

Trivia question: Does anyone know where the inspiration for the Flinstones came from?
