Yes... Got to have vacuum.. So water in
pipe can drain back and down into the ground....Then cannot freeze...If there is
a hose attached be sure the end is open... Better yet disconnect hose from the
spicket.... Then water can drain back from the pipe above ground into the ground
below... As the frost free spicket is designed to do.. Make sure the spicket is
secure and cannot break from underground when used
everyday...Buddy
