[RC] cleaning hooves? - Dot Wiggins

I have read and heard many times that a horse's hooves should be cleaned and picked out every day.

On the other hand I also hear and read some knowledgeable hoof care speakers and texts say a horse's feet benefit, and are perfectly healthy, by not cleaning every day.

What do you all think? What do you do with pasture horses, stalled horses, dry lot horses???
