RE: [RC] soft-ride boots - Cindy Stafford

that's what someone else suggested too, but I think if anything they are a smidge small in the lenght.  her heel is resting on the fabric and its hard to pull it up snug...ugh.  I wish they came with step by step instruction on how to properly adjust them and put them on.

i did get teh purple orthotics though which are nice and soft.  But they have a wedge toward the heel, which increases the angle toward the toe which is a problem. We're trying to lower the heel to keep the pressure off the toe.  I know the company had the combo pad for laminitic horses (the turquoise/purple) and maybe that was made flatter?  But I didn't want the firmer pad on her frog and heel...so I took a chance.  I think we're going to try and whittle down the heel wdge.

she does have shoes on which is probably affecting the fit, but the company told me they could be use with shod horses and didn't say anything about adjusting the size, so it should still work I would think (unless they left out this info...)

Cindy,
I have used these boots extensively.  If they twist around they are probably too big.  Go down a size and also get the extra pads for the laminitic horse,  sorry they cost extra.
They worked very well for us.

Just got my new soft-ride boots to use on my foundered horse.  If any of you have experience with htese, can you tell me how you keep them from twisting around?  I tightened them as snug as I could, and with just a few minute hand walk, they both had rotated around her feet.  hmm.

suggestions?
