[RC] Grand Canyon XP Day 2-Contrasts - stevesphoto@xxxxxxxxxx

Talk about contrasts in weather, we woke up this morning to the ground white with frost. The overnight temps went down to 24. The sky was completely clear of any of the offending clouds from yesterday. Even though it was a bit chilly, 43 riders took to the trail at 7:30.

The first loop to the trail went trough some real pretty aspen groves and through many meadows and forested areas, It is hard to describe the trails at this ride. Some people might call them rocky, in some places they are, there seems to be no major mountains to climb, the trails wind through rolling hill terrain, some road, some single track, seems like a great mix to me. no views of the canyon today but with the white from the frost it made for some pretty interesting scenery none the less.

The top ten are in and so here is the list:
Howard Kent
MJ Jackson
Corry Clinton
Darla Wright
Crockett Dumas
Dineen Wold
Torgils Wold
Kerry Redente
Cheryl Johnson
Rick Leonard

The weather has changed a lot from this mornings frost to a nice 60 degree day with a slight breeze, the horses sure seem to be doing well. Not one pull from yesterdays ride, sure hope that will happen again today.

Sorry I am not better at this reporting thing, I should probably have the horses names too but I am looking over the timers shoulder so this is all I get.

Happy Trails,
Steve
