The difference is that during the ride you are not having to walk 1/4, 1/2 or even a mile to the place where you are getting your pulse taken.

But this always raises the question: what did you do in the vet checks DURING the ride, and why is the finish any different?

I am one that always needs the 60 min to get my horse settled down. =
