[RC] RO vs having your horse checked by the control vet - Michael Maul

" Should I have RO'd or vetted my horse (which is what I did) and gotten a pull for metabolics? I also tried looking in the rules
and could not find this info: "
************************
There always seems to be a lot of confusion on this topic even though it's been discussed a lot in EN and in the Vet newsletter.

If you request a RO - your horse *must* be cleared by the control judge as "fit to continue". That would not have been the case in the situation you describe. You certainly did the right thing in having your horse checked.

for more information on the use of pull codes.
