Hyway 58 is like a freeway. ?The windy, curvy, cow littered road is the 
Caliente-Bodfish road and it IS windy and curvy! ?Splits in two at one point 
and it doesn't matter which fork you take - still windy and curvy :) ?But 
some awesome views on the upper fork!

they climb from the valley floor in Bakersfield to the top of the mountain 
pass in Tehachapi.


Hauling my horse trailer down the 21 mile Tehachapi pass with grades
of 6% ....scared the S#$%  out of me.  If and when I move out there, I
am getting rid of the RV. I'll get a Ford truck and gooseneck horse
trailer.
