[RC] Bryce Canyon Trail Photos - KarenCHere are some photos of the day 1 trail. The Bryce XP ride starts on Thursday and goes through Monday (5 days). http://enduranceridestuff.com/blog/2009/08/grandview-trail/We haven't been able to use some of this trail for a few years. It has now been repaired (washout) and has been added back into the ride. It's gorgeous! When I rode around a turn today and saw the orange cliffs ahead with the light illuminating off of it I felt like I was in a dream. You almost can't even imagine the colors and contrasts between the green forest, white sand and orange and pink colored hoodoos and cliffs. It was a real treat! There is also new trail that was used for the first time last year as well as quite a bit of new singletrack trail that's being added for the 2nd day of the ride. Since the newly reopened trail hasn't been used for a few years we had a hard time finding it at first. I'm sure that the Duck will be shaking his head when he downloads the GPS tracks and waypoints and sees how much extra Dave Rabe and I did up and down the side of a steep mountain. You could say that our horses got a really good workout today. What fun! lol There are about 60 entries so far, with time to enter if you'd like to come and ride this really beautiful ride.
