[RC] Why I like horses - Victoria Thompson

Definitely the zen of poop scooping is high on the list. Their smell, their hugs, scritches, endless grooming, the way they make me laugh, the hay, the anxiety of grain buckets not given fast enough, hay in my hair and down my shirt, the dirt, the sweat, fixing fences and water pipes, watching them interact with each other, listening to their language when they talk to me, learning something new everyday, the ease of stress levels whenever I'm with them, riding is almost secondary to just sitting on them bareback while they eat, listening to them eat is pretty cool, having a 1000 pounds +/- of animal that could squash me like a bug delicately avoid stepping on me when I'm lying on the grass and they're grazing around me as well as follow my commands when I ask (whether on the ground or up on top). And all the blood, sweat and tears are worth going through to get the laughs.
