[RC] If Tevis is Like Woodstock... - k s swigart - Jonni

kat, some people feel the urge to ride Tevis, and others don't feel that calling. Sounds like you are not called to take on that ride. Sure nothing wrong with that. But (to me) you sound like you were trying to justify that you don't feel that calling to go ride the ride like others do. The ride is different things for different people. Some it is a spiritual experience, for others it is the most difficult challenge they will ever take on in their life, while for some, it is just a ride. And, yet for others, like kat, it has no appeal.

The trail has the WS markers over most of it I believe (those in the area can correct me) and can be ridden when ever it is passable. It is a beautiful trail, and riding it over a few days, at a casual pace would be worth the trip there, as it is an awesome trail to experience. But then most of our rides held on public trails are available for riders to ride them at times other than during an organized endurance ride. Of course, then it is just trail riding, and not the same challenges as endurance rides offer, which is why many of us participate in endurance, and don't "just trail ride".
