RE: [RC] Mosquito dunks - submerged - Kristen A Fisher

Wire two of these together with the ring inside [find one without suction
cups or remove them]:

Subject: [RC] Mosquito dunks - submerged

After several people replied to my inquiry about horses eating
the mosquito dunk rings and some of their inventive ways to
prevent their horses from eating them, I decided to just tie
the thing to a rock and drop it to the bottom of the water
trough where I'm pretty sure Numb Nuts won't venture. Past
experience sending Emails to companies has always gotten me
slow replies, so that was my reasoning for going to all of you
first instead of the company. However, Kat mentioned that
perhaps the things don't work if submerged and I should ask
the company. I thought to myself that this might be a good
idea even if the answer is slow in coming at least I'd be
trying to do something in the meanwhile. So, late last night
I fired off an Email to the Summit Chemical Company inquiring
as to whether or not the rings would still work submerged.
Well, much to my surprise when I hopped on the 'puter early
this morning there was a reply from the company, and it wasn't
one of those automatic responses that you always end up
getting either. To make a long story short the rings do not
work fully submerged. I was advised to place the ring in some
sort of cage that
can be attached to the side of the trough so Numb Nuts won't eat it.
So, my new question regarding these little rings is, "Any
ideas for a cage?"

Inquiring minds want to know.

Tori
