I must confess, my first response to this statement was "come off it." 

However, I then contemplated the possibility that it was Dr. Q making a joke by 
in essence saying: If you want to know somebody's real motivation, just ask 
them, and they will tell you, "my real motivation is envy."

If he did intend it as a joke, then it is one of the funniest jokes I have 
heard in a long time, and my hat is off to him for one of the most masterful 
examples of irony I think I have ever heard.

If he didn't intend it as a joke, then it is even funnier...but for a different 
reason.
