Re: [RC] [Endurance Tracks] Spain: Horse rescue using ATRM endurance tracking... - Leonard.LiesensOh, so Ridecamp doesn't speak french... Cela n'est pas bien... c'est la vie. Globally, it says that a rider riding on the CEI* in this CEIO near Madrid has been rescued thanks to the new GPS carried by the rider together with the transponder for timekeeping. The rider flet from her horse, was in the middle of the Natural Park where few accesses were possible and she could push on the GPS button to get in touch with the organizers. All that thanks to ATRM, the provider of this marvellous system. But currently, the system doesnt provide translation, so if a russian rider push the button and comes in communication with a portuguese official speaking only portugese, that wouldn't work :-) voila Leonard, www.endurance-belgium.com
