[RC] More Mongol Derby - Dot Wiggins

For a small insight into Mongolia, the horses, the land, and the people, find the book:
The Horse Boy by Rupert Isaacson
It's new this year.

It is primarily a father's story about dealing with his son's autism. One of the few things that helped the boy was horses and riding.

In the quest for healing they go on a trek into Mongolia. The only way to reach the people they wanted to see was on horses.

Very interesting one of a kind true story. Quite a bit of info about the horses and people, and the country in the far reaches of Mongolia.

You may find some of the info useful in judging how you look at the possibilities of the Mongol Derby.
