Manama, June 28 (BNA) For the third consecutive season, the Commander of the Royal Endurance Team, Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa managed to lead the team to the leading position during the 160 kilometer British Race, Thatford.

Shaikh Nasser made his first achievement after chairing the Bahrain Olympic Committee. Shaikh Nasser, along with Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Abdurahman Al Saad came first after defeating players of UAE, UK, France, and Italy following competitions which lasted for 12 hours from morning till evening which ended with the Bahraini victory. Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa said it was a great achievement, and that he dedicated it to HM the King who is behind every great athletic achievement for Bahrain. Shaikh Nasser said it was not an easy victory and that Bahrain's players managed to overcome all challenges and difficulties till they stood on the stage of champions. He also said such races were characterized by thrill, power and competitiveness. Shaikh Nasser expressed thanks and appreciation to members of the Royal Endurance Team, as well as the administrative team members for the great efforts they exerted towards achieving these positive results. Commander of the Khalidiya Stables and Chairman of The Royal Equestrian and Endurance Races Federation, Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, said it was a great victory after a tough competition from the beginning till the end. He said the Bahraini team faced tough challenges especially from the UAE team members. He also said this year's participation came after proper preparations of both the horses and the members of the team. He said the competition was great from all aspects, adding that he was optimistic of achieving better results in coming competitions with the cooperation and support of all members of the royal team.
