[RC] skinny horse - rides2far@xxxxxxxxOK, I'm not trying to drag things down showing the poor skinny horse. Actually, photography is a funny thing. The first photos were from video which tried to balance out the light and dropped the shadows so he looked better than he really does. The 2nd set was in shade with evening sun and may have made him look a tad worse than he really does. I just had to do a rebuttal for Jody. It isn't that Jody doesn't consider a horse like this skinny...it's that Jody is such a rediculously competitive person that she has to think HER rescue was skinnier than *my* rescue so I had to give it my best shot. I feel sorry for a horse that's been hungry, and I hate that it's been hungry, but for the health of the horse I'd rather get one that's had too little than too much. I feel just as sorry for the cresty obese animals out there and their damage is probably more lasting. Anyway, it's a lot more fun to fatten one up than to have to withold food so I'm having fun.
