I had soooo much fun over the years riding with Becky Hart, Heather Reynolds, Melissa Ribley and a whole bunch of other juniors who have all grown up and are waaay better than me now. And no, Becky was not one of my juniors. I was old enough but she was already a senior and did her first 50 miler in 1973 the year before I rode my first 50. I also rode part of my first race with that great little stallion Rowel and his rider (I am having a senior moment and can't remember his name) but the AERC stallion award was created for him....................mb
If we are going historic, I'd take Eleanor of Aquitaine who lead a group of women in one of the crusades...the stories that woman could have told.... I've had the good luck to ride with quite a number of ridecampers here in Egypt, but I'd love to ride with some in the US sometime or with Jay and Co. in Australia.
