[RC] Can I pass you all my intern? - Maryanne Gabbani

A while back I wrote to Ridecamp about my taking interns to work here while learning Arabic and experiencing Egypt. I've had various emails from people some of whom may come and that is great, but now Hannah, who has been with me for the past 6 months is looking to move on. She's taking two online courses from Guelph University in Canada (Anatomy and Disease Prevention) that are part of the Equine Management Certificate, so if possible she'd like someplace with internet access and some time to study (roughly 20-28 hours a week to study). She's been a terrific help to me (basically taking over during the month after my knee surgery when I got an infection and wasn't allowed to walk even), helping to train babies, riding my youngsters to put miles and experience on them, supervising grooms and even doing their work (as we all did) when I got pissed off and fired my entire staff of them earlier this spring. To make a long story short, they had formed a little company and were selling off our manure, an initiative that I approved of except for the fact that the profits were bypassing the farm.

Hannah is an easy keeper, will eat just about anything, isn't fussy at all, and gets along with everyone. She reads, paints, draws and studies...and she enjoys going out to dance or listen to music when the chance presents itself but doesn't have to be out on a daily basis. I heartily recommend her to anyone who would like someone to work and study with them. Here she was getting room and board and some pocket money, but now she's actually looking for work even if it is part time. I suggested that I contact you all and see if anyone has any ideas. She's been terrific with my clients for the trailriding and would love to find something where she could be working with horses.? She's looking at riding setups in National Parks and so on and other possibilities. She may be here until late August when her visa runs out, so there is no rush.

If anyone needs a good worker who is great with horses and people, please drop her a line at hannah.donkersloot@xxxxxxxxx.
