I should clarify there is a difference between drafting and just riding 
behind someone because you cannot pass on a particularly narrow trail.  I 
see no reason NOT to put a red ribbon on your horse's tail if you want to 
keep other riders at a comfortable and safe distance.  One cannot say his 
horse never kicks.  I know of other riders who do this.

Now that I know what it is, I guess I have "drafted" of others before,
but even not knowing what it was called, I still asked if it was ok
first.  Actually, I think I've only done that a couple times but nobody
seemed to mind at the time.  I wouldn't mind it as long as I wasn't
being tailgated.  My mare doesn't even mind being tailgated, but I DO.
It's annoying and dangerous.  I've often thought of putting a red ribbon
on her tail (even though she's not a kicker) just to keep peeps off our
butts.  lol
