Does this mean perhaps his employees are trying too hard to win? He didn't try to pass the buck, said he knows he's officially responsible banned himself from competition and launched an investigation. Sounds like a Dick Francis novel...I can imagine the plot where the arch enemy gives the hero's horse a banned substance to cause a positive...
