Re: FW: [RC] is this rude/Drafting - heidi larson

when you've asked the other person if they'd like to pass, or told them that
your horse is tired of being in front and they still say they'd rather be back
there, I had to resort to another tactic. Ordinarily my horse likes to lead
and pull other horses, just this one time the rider was "determined" to keep me
in sight and you could feel it coming off her and her horse was also tired
looking in the eyes (IMO.) At the last VC she came in ahead of me however, her
horse's HR didn't come down and I ended up going out about 8 min. ahead of her
and made sure she never saw us again. Not only is it not fair to my horse to
be dragging all the way, but her horse didn't need the "excuse" to go faster
than he should have. IMO again. FWIW!

Why not just
politely tell the other rider that your horse gets anxious
or annoyed?when
another horse is behind but not with? To me, this falls
under the category of
"it's not rude unless you tell
them?you're having a problem with their
actions". It may help the person understand not to do
this in the future unless
they check with the rider ahead.
