No - kill sales ARE NOT illegal. Over 124,000 horses were
purchased by kill buyers and hauled to Mexico or Canada for slaughter in
2008. We know there were more, hauled across the borders under the guise
of being polo ponies or saddle horses, actually going to slaughter. We
just don't have those numbers due to the deceit involved.
