Now that you mention it, Kathy, my husband's Quarter horse always smells
like a piggy too after a good ride, but my thin-skinned Arab smells
sweet as a rose (at least to me).  :)

That kind of makes sense because of all my horses, Beau sweats the
most and he had the thickest skin.  And when he sweats he smells like
a pig.
