That's the way I was always taught. The Master Time Sheet is the Holy Grail.

I don't know how it's done of the left side of the country but normally in the SE the timer writes the times on the card after she records them her records. If there is a mistake it's most likely going to be on the card since the list is basically the official record.

If I were managing a ride and there was a discrepancy - the timers list is the official list.

All I can think of that you need is you finish line timer's sheet. We keep the top 10 cards but return them with the BC scores. I never understood why we have to "keep the card" of a horse that pulls. I don't need it...and maybe the rider could use it to search for clues of what went wrong.
