AERC doesn't have the one-strike and you're out rule - you can present as many times has you like within the 1 hour post finish period. That is one very distinct way that you might complete the AERC and not the FEI divisions. There are, as I recall, a few other special cases (like FEI is 30min and AERC is 60min to reach completion criteria on the longer distances; FEI is 20 min on a 50 whereas AERC is 60min; There might also be differences in the completion criteria (as FEI might choose a 64 pulse and AERC might choose a 60 pulse).
