It is possible for someone to only do the FEI portion of the ride unless the ride manager stipulates otherwise. *******Actually as you should know well - at the 2007 NC ride - AERC *required* all FEI riders to enter the AERC ride before entering the FEI ride. While it's not a rule in the rule book that you have to enter the AERC ride to enter the FEI ride - it's been made clear to ride managers who co-sanction that this must happen.
