[RC] renegade boots preliminary review - Spottedracer

The boots are in the same price range as easyboots for which the same
trimming costs apply.

- Don't know where you're paying $120-180 PER Easyboot - I buy them from
Jeffers for under $40 each.. So the cost is not comparable... And after my
problems with Gators - I'm going to get those $4 'keepers' instead.. I don't
pay any 'trimming costs' except for my own personal time/effort.

And I've found - even on extreme-grade, heavy rock trails - my mounts do just
fine training 99% of the time without anything on their hooves. These are the
mounts that have gone a minimum of 6 months 'shoeless' or never shod their
entire lives. (Use some protection for the period immediately after removing
shoes... - only on the longer rides) Having your horses develop hooves
'mustang-strong' is very important when you have days like my last training
ride. It's nice when even 20 miles with some rock & gravel roads won't even
chip a hoof!!!
