I think I read some where that the near hind white sock was lucky,  and that 
"wheat ears"  or cowlicks. on the neck were unlucky.

Looks as if almost every horse can have either a lucky or unlucky 
"something" somewhere.

Guess we will all, horses and people,  have to take our chances and hope for 
the best.
