[RC] re: winter boots - Cindy Collins

On the other hand, I own a pair of the Muck Boot Tack Classic, 15" tall boots and have fed in them for three years, twice a day, and they still look new (once you wash off the dirt and ice and manure). I "would" ride in them, though I haven't and they really aren't made for it. I have two totally different winter boots I ride in: a pair of Keen Blackcomb Winter boots which are great for both riding and for getting off and hiking in snowy/icy terrain and a pair of Ariat Iceberg laceup paddock boots which are great for riding, but slick for hiking. (I always ride in either a breakaway English stirrup or an endurance stirrup with a solid cage, so I don't worry about heels too much). CC
