Excellent idea Bruce.  Our very own Ride Camp's Karen Everheart, Rainbow Meadows Rescue, could use a lot of help right now. 

 

In the El Dorado County area:  Grace Foundation

In Oroville:  NorCal Rescue.

 

All of these REscue organizations have done the best they can to place a lot of throw away horses, horses rehomed due to foreclosures, and horses due to deaths of owners.  Tis the season to reach out and stretch that one little extra dollar that we can.  Just imagine if we all gave $1.00 to Karen's foundation how much that would mean to the horses in her care.  No, I am in no way associated with her Rescue organization.  I just happen to think that she runs a really great operation.

Let's be proactive and make a donation to our nearest horse rescue
shelter, and help the horses that we can. It might help make us feel a
little less helpless in these difficult times for many horses around the
world.
