RE: [RC] RC : RC : New Endurance Horse Electrolyte research - heidi

Thanks Karen for the info . my own 'research' tells me that the French team
did not 'EL' at the last WEC trial in Bidong , Terengganu . They stick to
their gun and did not do too badly either .Heidi ,what is your take on this ?
Sorry , your position on EL is already 'world famous '.

Well, I already posted a couple of posts on this, but my "take" on it is that I
am not surprised that science is beginning to be able to document what some of
us have long felt we have seen in the field--that e-lytes are not innocuous,
that one has to take some care in dosing, and that there is indeed such a thing
as "too much."

I for one am glad to see AAEP suggesting some moderation in their dosing
recommendations--and I hope riders take them seriously before more horses
suffer damage from well-meaning but poorly-advised administration of excessive
doses of e-lytes!

Heidi
