[RC] Preliminary Results of the Western Invasive Weed Study - Additional - Michael Maul

The full article below is in the December EN starting on page 19 if you prefer the paper version.

There's a really nice collage of photos from the AERC National Championship on the cover.

EN has come a long way from the black and white newsletter it used to be when I joined.

Troy, as the editor, does a really excellent job with the whole magazine. Everything from the graphics, the content, to the layout is first class.

I have trouble coming up with a new column topic at the end of each month. Troy keeps coming up with something new time after time.

Mike

The preliminary results of

"Are horses responsible for introducing noxious weeds onto trails
and adjacent ecosystems in the western USA?" by Dr. Stith T. Gower

are available at

http://aerc.org/EnduranceNews_West_Weed_Study.pdf

Ride managers who would like a copy of the study to give to their
local land managers can contact the AERC office for a copy.

The results of the eastern study are listed at

http://aerc.org/Research_Grants.asp

There is one new program in progress that isn't listed yet on the
page. It's described in the December Endurance News and the topic
relates to Heart Rate Variability in endurance horses.
